Masked Man Robs Williamsford General Store

An armed thief hit the Williamsford General Store last night.

Grey County OPP report that a man entered the General Store on Highway 6 in the Township of Chatsworth around 7:40 last night and displayed a weapon.

Cash and a carton of cigarettes were turned over to the suspect who then left the store on foot, heading south on Highway 6.   The owner and an employee were not hurt.

The OPP Canine Unit and an Emergency Response Team were on the scene quickly, but did not find the suspect.

The man is described as about six feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black balaclava and black gloves.   He was also wearing black garbage bags which were taped over his clothing.

Grey County OPP, with the assistance of the Grey County Crime Unit continue to investigate. They are asking anyone who may have seen this individual or has any information to contact the OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
