A Freezing Rain Warning is in effect for much of Midwestern Ontario except Bruce Peninsula where a Winter Storm Warning is up.
Environment Canada upgraded its Winter Storm Watch for the area earlier this morning. The forecasting agency says a system moving in from Texas is expected to bring mixed precipitation to Midwestern Ontario beginning this evening and into tomorrow.
Snow and blowing snow is expected for Bruce Peninsula. Huron, Perth, Grey, Wellington and Southern Bruce County can expect freezing rain this evening and overnight. Winter storm conditions are no longer expected.
Environment Canada is recommending people in the warning areas take necessary precautions and avoid travel is possible.
