Markdale Home Hit By Thieves

Jewelry and clothing have been stolen from a home in Markdale.

Grey County OPP got a call Sunday evening from a woman who discovered the break-in when she returned to her residence on Brackenbury St. in Markdale.

Police determined that someone entered the home through the garage between 4:30pm and 7pm Sunday evening and removed jewelry and clothing.   The total value of the missing items is $6,000.

A small car was seen in the victim’s driveway, and a red or burgundy SUV was parked in front of the residence during the time period when the break-in occurred.

The Grey County Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit from Mount Forest continue to investigate.
