Stratford Artistic Director Recognized Nationally

The artistic director for the Stratford Festival Theatre has been named a Member of the Order of Canada.

Antoni Cimolino was named a member today by Governor General David Johnston. Cimolino is one of 49 members appointed today along with 14 officers and 6 companions. He is being recognized for his contributions to Canadian theatre as an actor and director, notably through his leadership of the Stratford Festival.

A Member of the Order of Canada recognizes outstanding contributions at the local or regional level or in a special field of activity.

The Order of Canada, one of our country's highest civilian honours, was established in 1967.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
