Heritage Committee Wants Input On Park Changes In Bayfield

The chair of Bayfield's Heritage committee has asked Bluewater council to consult with the committee in the future when considering changes to Clan Greggor Square.

Dave MacLaren pointed out to council that the square is a designated heritage area, but they were not consulted about the addition of a splash pad to the square or the washrooms that will be added next spring.

MacLaren says the splash pad does not exactly conform with the 'heritage' designation and the pump house for the splash pad is placed directly in the sight line from the Old Town Hall to the square.

Bluewater councillors agreed to consult with the heritage committee on any future projects in Clan Greggor Square.
