Port Elgin Dog Bite Victim Hopes To Avoid Rabies Treatment

The Grey Bruce Health Unit hopes the public can help find the owner of a dog after a biting incident in Port Elgin.

It happened about 9pm last night, when a man was out walking on Brentwood Dr.

A black bulldog apparently running loose, bit the man as he tried to separate the dog from his own dog.

Health unit staff need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies, so the victim can avoid post exposure rabies treatment.

If you have any information related to this incident, please contact the Grey Bruce Health Unit at 519-376-9420.
