West Grey Police Chief Berger Announces Retirement

West Grey Police Chief Rene Berger announced he is retiring, effective August 31 of this year, at a West Grey Police Services board meeting earlier this week.

Berger has served as the West Grey Chief for 11 and a half years. His policing career dates back to 1979, and included stops in many Midwestern Ontario police services offices.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
