Shelburne Snowmobiler In Serious Condition After Crash

A Shelburne woman has been airlifted to hospital following snowmobile crash in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The Ontario Provincial Police says on Friday around 2pm, the 53-year-old woman was driving a Yamaha snowmobile on the 12th Concession A when she suddenly fell from the moving vehicle. Police says she fell off the vehicle due to a serious "medical-related condition."

The woman was air-lifted to a local hospital in serious condition and is expected to be airlifted to a London hospital.

12th Concession A was previously closed between Grey Rd. 32 and 15th Sideroad, but it has since been reopened.

Police say it appears the woman had suffered from a serious medical condition prior to the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
