High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Police have identified the two victims of a fatal crash Saturday afternoon in Grey County.
The crash happened at the intersection of Grey Road 3 and Concession 18, north of Ayton, between a car and a pick-up truck.   Two women in the car died in the crash.
They have been identified as 52-year-old Ruth Weiser of Mount Forest, who was the driver, and her mother, 81-year-old Joan Weiser of West Grey.
The 22-year-old male driving the truck suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated by West Grey police.
