Syrian Family Will Soon Arrive In Saugeen Shores

Saugeen Shores will soon welcome a Syrian refugee family to the community.

The Saugeen Shores Refugee Committee is ready to welcome a family of 14 early next month.  The family includes two parents and a newborn baby.

The group has raised about $70,000. through the Mennonite Central Committee.

They have a house prepared and fully furnished, and have had mountains of clothes donated, to the point where the Missionary Church has asked that no more items be donated.

The committee is asking the community to give the new arrivals some space and privacy so they can adjust to their radically new life.
