Cause Of House Fire Near Blyth Investigated

Fire officials are still trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a home south of Blyth.

Saturday afternoon fire fighters from North Huron, both Blyth and Wingham stations fought the fire with assistance of tankers from Central Huron and Huron East.

The house on Hullet Mckillop Rd.was fully engulfed when crews arrived on scene.

"Due to the substantial fire damage to the house, determining a cause could be very difficult," says North Huron Fire Chief David Sparling.

However the fire is not considered suspicious.

No one was home at the time.

Estimated damage is $400,000.
