Gadjovich Player of the Week

The Owen Sound Attack's Jonah Gadjovich is the Pioneer Energy OHL player of the week.

The league made the announcement yesterday citing the forward's three goals and three assists in two games this past weekend and his plus-minus rating of plus-9.In a release, the league said Gadjovich played the best two games of his OHL career with back-to-back three point performances in the Attack's East Division road trip.

He scored just 57 seconds into the Friday night's game against the Kingston Frontenacs and then set up Jacob Busch's game winner in the second to earn first star honours. The Attack won the contest 5-2. On Saturday, Gadjovich scored the tie breaker in the second and added a pair of assists in the third in the Attack's 5-2 win over Ottawa.

It's the 17-year-old Whitby native's second season with the Attack. He is eligible for the 2017 NHL Draft.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
