Canada Post Superboxes Target Of Break-Ins

Wellington County OPP are advising residents to be vigilant and keep their eyes open after numerous Canada Post superboxes were broken into last week.

Police say an unknown number of suspects had pried open the main door to superboxes sometime during the overnight hours of January 31 in Centre Wellington Township, Maryhill and Guelph-Eramosa Township.

While not all mailboxes were accessed, some were.

Areas of Waterloo Region and the City of Guelph have also fallen victim to similar incidents a rash of mailbox break-in incidents back in 2014 as well.

Wellington County OPP are asking residents to call them if you notice any suspicious activity around any Canada Post mailboxes or superboxes at 1-888-310-1122.

Police continue to investigate.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
