UPDATE: Bluevale Home Destroyed By Fire

Fire burned down a Bluevale home today and the cause will not be able to be determined because of the extensive damage.

The estimated loss is $800,000.

Two people who were at home at the time, escaped after being woken up by smoke alarms.

Fire Prevention Officer James Marshall says the fire was contained to the one property and did not spread. Both fire stations in North Huron, Wingham and Blyth, were on scene along with stations from Howick, Brussels, Teeswater.

Along with the house and contents, two cars were burned.

Fire has destroyed a two storey home on the outskirts of Bluevale in Huron County.

Firefighters from North Huron responded to a call just before 6am today and arrived to find the home fully engulfed in the area of Clyde St. near the river. Fire officials say two people escaped after being woken up by smoke alarms and there are no injuries.

However it's being categorized as a total loss as the home has collapsed and vehicles were lost in the fire as well. OPP, EMS and Morris-Turnbuerry public works are scene to help with traffic control and medical support. Victim Services are also on scene.

Fire prevention officer James Marshall says the fire was contained to the one property and did not spread. But crews are expected to be on scene for most of the day because of the intensity of the fire. Both fire stations in North Huron, Wingham and Blyth are scene along with stations from Howick, Brussels, Teeswater.

The public is being asked to stay away from the Clyde St. area of Bluevale as tankers continue to transport water to the area.

It is too early to determine a cause.

Firefighters from North Huron are on scene of a structure fire in Bluevale.

There are few details but the structure is fully engulfed. Crews responded just before 6 o'clock this morning.

Fire officials do tell us that there are no injuries.

Fire stations from Howick, Brussels and Teeswater are assisting.
