Hutchinson Advances to the Grey Bruce Major Curling Final

Al Hutchinson defeated AJ Schumaker 8-3 in a rescheduled playoff semi-final in the Brokerlink Insurance Grey Bruce Major Curling League.

Hutchinson will now play the winner of the second semi-final between Jeff Thomson and Scott Ballantyne in the Championship final.

In the B Flight Semi-Final, Don Bartley and Tom Slumskie needed an extra end to decide the winner with Bartley coming out on top. He will play the winner of the Les Shane and Steve Gregg match up Wednesday.

Slumskie and Shumaker will await their opponents in the D and C Flights.

Play gets underway at 6:30 tonight with the Championship Round Semi-Final at the Port Elgin Curling Club. Spectators are welcome and there is no fee for admission.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
