Three Crashes Close Hwy. 4 In Bluewater

Police are investigating after three separate collisions caused the closure of Hwy. 4 north of Brucefield.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday just after 2:30pm, a northbound GMC Sierra pickup truck collided with a Ford Escape traveling south on the highway.

The driver of the Ford, a 21-year-old man from Central Huron, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The passenger in the Ford, a 20-year-old woman from Huron East, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, and was also taken to hospital.

Shortly after, another two-vehicle crash took place in the same area, following by another collision involving four vehicles. No one was injured in these two collisions.

Police have closed Hwy. 4 (London Rd.) between Mill Rd. and Roman Rd. while emergency crews are at the scene.
