The donation was made yesterday. Lightfoot was one of the world's first black hockey players and the stick will become part of a new Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit called "The Changing Face of Hockey - Diversity in Our Game."
There was a ceremony in Stratford yesterday where the Hockey Hall of Fame's Craig Campbell accepted the stick.
The new exhibit will open March 11.
