Two Arrested In Drug Search Of Owen Sound Apartment

A woman is facing six drug-related charges after a search warrant was served at an apartment on 10th St. W in Owen Sound.

Officers from several enforcement units joined members of the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit for the operation Wednesday afternoon.

Police seized methamphetamine and cocaine with a street value of $2500.00.  They also found a variety of narcotics in the apartment, in addition to scales, packaging, a safe, about $1000 cash and other evidence of trafficking.

Rhonda Fugere, 44, of Owen Sound has been charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.

She is to appear in Owen Sound court today for a bail hearing.

A man who was visiting the residence at the time was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant in London, and was taken into custody to be turned over to London city police.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
