Owen Sound Dog Bite Victim Hopes To Avoid Rabies Treatments

The Grey Bruce Health Unit hopes to help a man avoid post exposure rabies treatment.

They're looking for a black German Shephard that was fighting with another dog at the Owen Sound Dog Park Wednesday afternoon About 3pm.

A dog owner was trying to break up the two dogs when he was bitten in the leg by the other dog, possibly named Jack.

The health unit hopes to hear from anyone with information to help confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
