Police Want to Talk To Driver Who Offered Girl A Ride In Wingham

Wingham police are looking for a motorist who offered a young lady a ride during bitterly cold weather late last week.

Cheif Tim Poole says the vehicle pulled out of the F.E. Madill high school parking lot, and the driver offered the young girl a ride.

She said no, and he carried on. But the incident "somewhat" scared the girl.

The white pick up truck had black trim around the tailgate.

Chief Poole believes the young man was just being nice, and there was no malicious intent.

Police hope to talk to the driver just to confirm that.

Anyone with information should call police at 519-357-1212.
