Messy Winter Weather Returns

Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of the area.

The warning covers Bruce and Grey counties as well as northern areas of Huron and northern areas of Wellington County.   There is a Freezing Rain Warning for southern areas of Huron, Wellington, and all of Perth County.

Snow associated with a winter storm moving up from the south is expected to begin Wednesday morning then change to a mix of freezing rain and ice pellets through the day.

The freezing rain will likely and last for several hours before changing to rain or sleet.

Rainfall amounts could be between 15 to 30 mm.   Where the precipitation falls as snow, 15 to 25 cm is possible by Thursday afternoon.

Travelling conditions are expected to deteriorate Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
