Upper Grand Students Wear Pink Against Bullying

Students in schools in the Upper Grand District School Board are being asked to wear pink Wednesday to celebrate those who stand up against bullying.

Pink Shirt Day was started by two students in Nova Scotia to support another teen who was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt.

The campaign has now become international.

Wellington County students in the Upper Grand board will decorate their school pink, while they attend bullying awareness assemblies, and show support on social media. (hashtag#PinkShirtDay)
