Winter Storm Covers Midwestern Ontario

A large storm system is bringing mixed precipitation to Midwestern Ontario.

Sleet, freezing rain, rain and snow are part of the system.

In areas near the Bruce Peninsula total snowfall amounts of 25-35 cm are likely by Thursday afternoon.

In Grey, southern Bruce and northern Huron there is the chance of freezing rain this afternoon and tonight. before it changes back to snow.

In southern Huron, Perth and Wellington freezing rain is expected for several hours before changing back to snow overnight or early tomorrow.

The snow will taper off to a few flurries by Thursday evening.

Driving conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the afternoon and night.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
