Huron County Warden To Sit On New Committee

Huron County's warden will sit on the newly formed Western Warden's Economic Development Committee.

The new committee is being chaired by Wellington County's Warden George Bridge.

Gowing says Huron County and the Western Warden's Caucus feel it's important that southwestern Ontario have a regional voice for economic development and the new committee will fill that role.

"It was an issue that we had to address about our regional presence and we can do that with what is done through this economic development committee of Western Wardens," says Gowing. "It will give us a regional presence as far as economic development."

The committee has been formed to fill the void left by the collapse of the South West Economic Alliance a few months ago.
