OPP Investigate Damage at South Perth Centennial School

Perth County OPP are investigating damage done to the sports fields at South Perth Centennial Elementary School northwest of St. Marys.

Police say suspects drove a pick up truck on the grassy fields northwest of the school on Perth Road 163 sometime on the weekend.

The truck appeared to be doing donuts, resulting in deep ruts to the field.

The driver may have lost control, struck an object or rolled, as parts of the vehicle fell off, and were left behind.

Police say it appears the vehicle was a badly rusted older model gold coloured GMC pickup truck, which may not have been plated.

This is not the first time senseless damage has been done to those sports fields .

The culprits may have accessed the property by a driveway leading from Road 138 behind the school .

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone with information about this vehicle or the persons who may have been responsible for the damage, to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000
