Winter Storm Watch Causing Cancellations

Visibility is being described as fair to good across the region this afternoon.

However, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for much of southern and Midwestern Ontario.

Snowfall amounts could reach 20 cm before the snowfall tapers to flurries overnight.

The other thing to be aware of is the wind, gusting up to 45 km/h from the northwest this evening. The weather has caused a number of cancellations, including shift cancellations from Bruce Power. Due to severe evening weather, Bruce power is requesting that only A and B category workers scheduled to work tonight report for their regular shifts. All C category workers are asked not to report. Employees are asked to refer to the website for further updates.

For a full list of cancellations throughout Mid Western Ontario, refer to the event cancellations page on our website: http://blackburnnews.com/midwestern-ontario/midwestern-ontario-closures/midwestern-ontario-event-cancellations/
