OPP Investigating Crimes In Georgian Bluffs And Meaford

Grey County OPP are investigating a series of residential break ins on Girl Guide Rd. in Georgian Bluffs.

Police were called to a burglary at a residential garage last weekend, and then discovered two other break-ins, and a theft from an unlocked vehicle.

Police say two LG plasma TV's, liquor, a Garmin GPS and some cases of Pepsi were taken.

While canvassing the area, they found a helmet, and Daisy pellet gun, and an ATV winch in the ditch.

Police says the crimes occurred sometime Saturday night.

Grey County OPP are also investigating damage to community mailboxes in Meaford.

The locks on three boxes at the corner of Legion Rd. and Owen Sound St. were tampered with, but it is not known if anything was taken.

Police say they other community mailboxes in the area, and into Thornbury were also entered.

Police ask residents to report suspicious activity right away.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
