Horse Camping Being Introduced at Saugeen Bluffs

There's a big change planned for the Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area this summer.

Saugeen Conservation is introducing horse camping. It's part of a new business and marketing plan to revitalize the park.

Communications Manager Shannon Wood explains they put the feelers out to see how much interest horse camping would draw, and the response was great.

"Are there people out there really looking for this kind of thing? Well I tell you, we were inundated; just inundated with people saying this is fantastic, we've been looking for something this side of Ontario, this is great, what an opportunity so, we think it's really going to be a win win situation," says Wood.

The horse camping will be located in the Campbell Campground area and will also feature riding trails throughout the park.

The Horse Camp opening takes place on June 4th.
