Bluewater And South Huron Continue To Share Building Inspectors

Bluewater and South Huron have renewed their agreement to share buildng inspectors.

Bluewater covers vacations and sick times and other situations for South Huron, and when necessary the agreement is reciprocal.

Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel says the arrangement has worked well for nearly ten years for both municipalities and Bluewater council renewed the agreement this week.

Hessel adds because Bluewater has more manpower, it's more efficient for them and they generate some revenue from the agreement.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
