Goderich Delays Decision On Lease Extension At Ag. Park

The mayor of Goderich wants to find out what's happening with the pricing for renovations to the Agricultural Park before council grants an extension of the lease with the Goderich Trotting Association.

Kevin Morrison explains the original lease expires on June 30, and the Trotting Association has asked for an extension, but has not said for how long.

Morrison wants to know how the pricing has progressed before he considers an extension, and believes most of council feels the same way and that's why the request for the extension has been tabled.

Morrison adds if nothing is going to happen in the park for some time, do they still need the buildings to be vacated by June 30.

The mayor says he wants some new information on the renovations to the park before making any decision.
