Perth-Huron United Way Still Needs Donations

The current fundraising campaign for the Perth-Huron United Way ends in three weeks.

The goal of the 2015-16 campaign was to raise $1.27-million, to aid things like local poverty and children in need.

Campaign Chair Andrew Williams says a recent spike in donations has helped, but the United Way is still looking to close the gap by the end of March.

"We often talk about a ‘gap’ but what we really mean is the money that will be missing when United Way allocates funding to community priorities.   That funding can mean the world to someone in need," says Williams.

The United Way will hold a celebration on March 31 at Best Western Arden Park in Stratford to announce the total amount raised. Tickets can be purchased by calling 519-271-7730, or at the office at 32 Erie St., Stratford.

Donations to the United Way can be made online at www.perthhuron.unitedway.ca.
