Four Arrested For Break-Ins In Wingham

Four suspects have been arrested for their alleged role in several recent break-ins in Wingham.

Wingham police have been investigating a break-and-enter on Shuter St. on February 7, thefts from locker rooms at the North Huron Wescast Community Complex on March 2, and several reports of thefts from garden sheds during the night of March 3 and 4.

Police executed search warrants on two Josephine St. residences Monday, and some of the stolen property was recovered along with a small amount of marijuana and marijuana plants.

Two Wingham men in their 30s, and a 27-year-old woman from Wingham were arrested. A youth of no fixed address was also arrested.

Charges include possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, trafficking in stolen goods under $5,000, possession and production of marijuana, break and enter, and use of stolen credit cards.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
