Province Contributes To St. Marys Bridge Project

An essential piece of historic infrastructure in the Town of St. Marys is getting provincial funding for an upgrade.

Ontario is providing the town with up to $198,450 to rehabilitate the Water Street Bridge through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.

St. Marys will be able to replace the bridge deck and walls, renew the masonry, clean and paint all trusses and railings, and replace the pedestrian sidewalk.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
