Southgate Still Trying To Collect Money From SPIRG

Southgate is learning more about the Southgate Public Interest Research Group, which still owes the township more than $40,000 in court costs.

SPIRG lost three challenges to a Southgate building permit in the ECO Industrial Park.

CAO Dave Milliner reported to council that the township now knows the name of SPIRG’s insurance company, but Southgate will wait for advice from its lawyer before contacting the insurance company.

Southgate is hoping the insurance company might cover SPIRG’s debt to the township.
