Southgate To Share Building Inspectors With Neighbours

Southgate has agreed to share building inspectors with neighbouring municipalities of Chatsworth, Grey Highlands and West Grey.

Southgate councillor Dale Pallister wasn’t happy with the loss of local identity, and the prospect of higher building permit fees.

But CAO Dave Milliner said the fees need to be increased, and considering the building boom headed for Dundalk, the agreement will give Southgate more flexibility in its building department.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
