Another New Doctor Will Set Up Practice in Kincardine

Kincardine Council has announced a second new doctor is also planning to set up practice at the Kincardine Community Medical Clinic.

Dr.Damian Gunaratne has been hired thanks to the physician recruitment program.

Dr. Gunaratne recently spent five weeks working at the clinic before making the final decision.

He and his fiance are looking forward to moving into one of two houses generously provided by the Society of Energy Professionals to support the physician recruitment program.

Gunaratne begins his new role in August of next year.

Municipality of Kincardine Mayor, Anne Eadie, stated, “This exciting announcement is an important step towards our goal of achieving a full complement of family and emergency room physicians to meet the community health needs at our municipal clinic and the Kincardine hospital. I would also like to express sincere appreciation for the Kincardine Family Physicians Group for their commitment and extraordinary effort in providing quality patient care in this challenging time”.
