Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Clarifies Bill C-100

The M-P-P for Bruce Grey Owen Sound wants to clear up possible misinformation around the new provincial trails legislation.

Bill Walker is worried that some landowners might opt out of trail systems because they fear Bill C-100 will take away some of their property rights.

But Walker says the new legislation will not mean property owners are forced to give up some of their land.   In fact, he says organizations like the Ontario Snowmobile Association are supporting the legislation.

The government says Bill C-100 is meant promote the use of trials, along with boosting the tourism industry.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
