Stratford Woman Faces Weapons Charges

A Stratford woman is facing nine charges under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Members of the Stratford Police Service and Emergency Response Unit executed a search warrant at an address on Forman Ave. in Stratford Tuesday.

Police found a sawed off single-barreled break-action shotgun, in three separate pieces. They also located a small amount of methamphetamine and marijuana, along with several glass pipes containing meth residue.

A 35-year-old Stratford woman was arrested at the scene.

She faces charges that include possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
