Bayfield Sewer Pumping Station Down

A lightning strike has fried the waste water station in Bayfield.

The station is down and the municipality is using trucks to take the sewage away.

Offiicials asking residents to reduce the use of anything that drains into the sewer system such as toilets and showers.

Work is being done on site but there is no timeline on when the waste water station in Bayfield will be fixed.

Due to the situation, there is a concern that the sewer system could back up.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
