Huron County's Tourism Champion For 2016

The Huron Tourism Association has announced it's Tourism Champion for 2016.

Cindy Fisher becomes only the sixth Champion recognized since the inception of the Tourism Association in 1990.

Fisher started out in the county's Planning Department but moved to tourism in 1990 and became a tireless promoter of Huron County tourism. She was instrumental in the creation of the Tourism Association in 1993.

She retired this year from the Planning Department but volunteered to help with the Tourism Event and Brochure Swap Tuesday in Clinton.

Fisher admits that even though she's moving a little closer to retirement now, she still plans to be involved in the 2017 International Plowing Match in Huron County.
