'Rural Talks To Rural' Conference In Blyth

The Blyth Arts and Culture Initiative 14/19 has asked Huron County for $15,000 to support their 'Rural Talks To Rural' conference in September.

Project Director Peter Smith says the goal of the three day conference is to bring together as many rural leaders as possible to share information about creative ideas that are working in their areas.

Smith adds people in rural Ontario have to get better at telling their story to their urban neighbours, but also have get better at talking to each other.

He believes that the Rural Talks To Rural conference will improve that process.  The conference will run September 28-30 in Blyth.

Huron County council referred the $15,000 funding request to the budget committee as per the policy.
