Goderich Waterfront Restaurant Expanding

The Beech Street Station Restaurant on the waterfront in Goderich is expanding.

Owner Herb Marshall explains they're just finishing the addition of 90 seats on the wrap-around patio.  That's in addition to the 75 that were already there.

Marshall says while their first year was a good one it was also a learning experience.  They are addressing a couple of minor problems.   One is noise in the restaurant and he's hoping baffles will reduce that. The other is the population of house flies that get into the restaurant.   He says they're adding swinging doors to the entrances to reduce the number of flies that get in.

Marshall expects to add about fifty people, including servers, to his staff this year.
