River Conservation Techniques Discussed at Elmwood Workshop

Saugeen Conservation is looking for more 'water champions'.

It's hosting a Community Stewardship and River Rehabilitation Workshop this Friday, April 22nd.  It's at the Elmwood Community Centre, running from 9:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Representatives from local conservation authorities willl be among the presenters.  Topics include dam removals, bank stabilization and bioengineering, tree planting and naturalization.

A biologist with Trout Unlimited Canada will explain his approach to improving riversystems, and share his experience on river rehabilitation projects in various parts of Ontario.
