Bullying Protest Held At Minto Clifford Public School

Several Clifford parents concerned about bullying protested near Minto-Clifford Public School in Harriston today.

Parent Tammy Mitchell said her grade eight daughter first came to Minto-Clifford earlier this year and has experienced cyber bullying and also name calling at school.

Parent Scott Marois says his daughter did not start the fight, and was also a victim of bullying after what started as bickering on social media.

It culminated last Thursday when Mitchell's daughter punched a fellow student and both girls were expelled for a day.

Mitchell says she hopes her protest is a way of encouraging parents, teachers and students to speak out about bullying.
