Pedestrian Struck And Killed South Of Belgrave

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle south of Belgrave.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday around 1:15pm, a female pedestrian walked onto London Road and was hit by a southbound Chevrolet Impala.

The pedestrian was was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.   Her identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified.

While officers were at the scene, London Road was closed from Brandon Road to Cranbrook Road, Morris Road was closed at Clegg Line., and Nature Centre Road was closed west of London Road. All roadways were reopened by 7:45pm.
