Minto Part Of National Science Experiment

Minto is going to be part of a Canada-wide scientific experiment.

Science Rendezvous, in partnership with Let's Talk Science, will be launching a high-altitude balloon this morning as part of the national experiment.

Balloons outfitted with video and data sensors will launch at eight sites across the country today, from Vancouver to Inuvik to St. John’s, taking a snapshot of Canada’s atmospheric health.

The Let’s Talk Science volunteers will launch their contribution at 10am this morning from the field adjacent to the Harriston-Minto Community Complex.

Results and video from launch sites across the country will be showcased at the national Science Rendezvous festival on Saturday, May 7.

This year marks the second installment of the Canada-Wide Experiment in partnership with universities, public schools, and community groups across the country.
