Bruce Grey Catholic Chair Acclaimed to Provincial Association

The Chair of the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board will serve as Vice-President of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association .

Bev Eckensweiler was acclaimed at the 86th Annual General Meeting April 29th.

She will work alongside Hamilton Wentworth Board Chair Patrick Daly, who was elected OCSTA president.

The Board of Directors also has 15 regional directors elected by trustees in each region.

“I am deeply honoured and humbled and I will do my very best to promote and protect Catholic Education in the province of Ontario”, said Bev of her new responsibility.

Founded in 1930, OCSTA represents the interests of Catholic school boards that collectively educates approximately 550,000 in Ontario, from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
