Heroes For Hope Event In Hanover Draws Closer

The annual Heroes For Hope event is coming again in Hanover.

Formerly known as Cops For Cancer, the annual fundraising event helps local kids and families living with cancer with some expenses, like travel costs when going for treatment, lodging, and meals. Councillor Steve Fitzsimmons, who is taking part in the event, described when the event is and what is planned for this year.

"The event will be held on Saturday, June 18th at Hanover's Heritage Square. We have a lot of fun events this year, including a new Jail-And-Bail, where local celebrities will be locked up and need to be bailed out. We also have a silent auction and a big bake sale as well. Also, as always we have our annual Shave Off to raise money, too."

Heroes For Hope has been a very successful fundraising event and will by all accounts be the very same this year. Some of the money raised also goes toward research of the disease.
