Bruce Grey Catholic Graduation Rate Rises

The Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board has a five-year graduation rate of 91%, up 3% from the previous year.

The 4 year rate for the 2010-2011 Grade 9 class is 83%, which is also up.

The board educates over 4,000 students in 11 elementary and two secondary schools.

A report from Board Director Jamie McKinnon says they continue to refresh technology in all schools to equip students to impact the world of tomorrow.

The 91% success rate includes all students who met the criteria for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

The board also recognizes the achievement students who earned their Ontario Secondary School Certificate of Accomplishment leading to work for some students or assisted living for others, which is not reflected in the 91% statistic.
