Tireless Volunteer Honoured By Minto

A Harriston community volunteer has been given an award of appreciation by the Town of Minto.

For 60 years Doug Anderson has been volunteering with groups such as the Harriston Horticultural Society, the Fall Fair Board, the Theatre Guild and most recently, the Minto International Plowing Match being held south of Harriston this year.

In making the presentation, Minto Mayor George Bridge said Anderson comes from a family of active volunteers.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
